7:30 AM - 4:30 PM    The Great Outdoors Camp - Week 2
The Great Outdoors CampThis 5-week summer program will be held in the great outdoors at George E. Jack School for a maximum of 25 campers. We'll get back to basics and campers will enjoy a variety of activities, sports, crafts and games all while having a blast outdoors! Health, safety and fun will be our primary goals. To keep everyone safe, our trained full-time and seasonal staff will be following the State of Maine Phase 2 Day Camp Guidelines. Staff and participants will have daily wellness screenings at check-in, wear masks whenever social distancing is not possible and will follow regular cleaning/sanitizing protocols. We will provide monitored hand-washing stations and portable toilets that will be sanitized throughout the day by our designated cleaning staff. Activities will be divided into small groups to assure social distancing and age appropriate activities. Planned activities such as nature walks on trails, physically distanced sports including soccer, bocce, obstacle courses, kickball, fitness challenges, water games, and arts and crafts, STEM projects and imaginative play will round out each day. Shade canopies will be provided for each group and all equipment/supplies will be regularly sanitized and separated as needed. When possible, we will provide transportation for small groups to travel to the Rich Memorial Beach, Johnson Field and the Mountain Division Trails at Otter Pond. Safety Policies: Please click on the attached forms to read more about heath and safety protocols to be followed at camp for daily drop off/pick up procedures, what to bring each day, wellness checks, supply list and more (details on these procedures will be available 7/28/20 once we have them finalized). To be successful at camp, it's very important that parents understand and follow our guidelines as well as to help us to educate campers. Wellness starts at home and we're all in this together. If we all work together, we can create a fun and safe experience for kids in our community this summer and beyond.Cancellations due to weather: It is our goal to operate as much as possible this summer, however we may have to cancel on rainy and extreme heat days. We are still working to secure a temporary indoor space with MSAD6 and will update you ASAP. In the event that we can hold a half a day program, we will do so. All changes to the schedule will be made by 6:30 AM each morning. Parents will be notified via email. There will not be refunds for cancelled days. We will make every effort to hold the program if possible. Stay tuned for information on access to indoors on inclement weather days (we will update this site and send an email as soon as we get more information). Dates: Monday - Friday, August 3 - September 4 (depending on MSAD6 re-opening plans)Time: 7:30 am to 4:30 pm (see drop off and pick up procedures in the attached files)Location: George E. 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM    The Great Outdoors Camp - Week 5
Jack School (fields, playground and outdoor courts)Fee: $175 per week for residents/$200 per week for non-residents.Registration: Each week will have a maximum of 40 kids.
