Covid-19 Update: We are currently offering Kids' Club for virtual learning days as well as After School Program for the in-person school days. Registration available by calling us. We have some limited spots available. The information below is based on the 2019/20 school year program.            We strive to offer children a program that is affordable, fun and safe. One of the key elements of this program is “play!" Through play, children increase their social competence and emotional maturity. Activities will include indoor and outdoor sports, group games, arts & crafts, music, dance and occasional field trips. Each day quiet time will also be offered for participants to complete daily homework.A parent handbook has been prepared for your convenience. It informs you of our policies and procedures as well as to provide valuable information to help you to navigate the many details involved with this program.  We ask that you keep this handbook in a handy place for easy reference, or please find a copy on our website (below) for your convenience. We are excited for another successful year with our Before/After School Program.  Thank you for being a part of it!          General InformationWho: Children in grades K-5 who attend Edna Libby, Steep Falls and George E. Jack Elementary Schools.Where: George E. Jack Elementary School. Participants who do not attend George E. Jack during the day will be transported by the MSAD6 transportation department. Parents are responsible for making sure to set up transportation with the department. Drop off and pick up are at the side entrance of George E. Jack. Before School Program (BSP): Monday - Friday 7:00 a.m. - 8:30 a.m., excluding all school vacations, holidays, or snow days at G.E. Jack School. The BSP will not be held on any unscheduled late arrival days (such as those due to weather). Children attending Edna Libby and Steep Falls Schools will be transported from G.E. Jack will arrive at their schools by 8:50 a.m.**Please note the Bonny Eagle MSAD6 Transportation Policy at www.bonnyeagle.orgAfter School Program (ASP): Monday - Friday 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., excluding all school vacations, holidays, or snow days at G.E. Jack School.  Children attending Edna Libby and Steep Falls Schools will be transported to G.E. Jack School at the end of the school day.**Please note the Bonny Eagle MSAD6 Transportation Policy at www.bonnyeagle.org. Late Arrival Days: The BSP WILL BE HELD on the district's nine scheduled late arrival days and is included in the fee for BSP participants.  Children enrolled in the ASP are eligible to register for the late arrival days for a fee of $90.00 (pro-rated at $10 per late arrival day), to be paid in full at time of registration. Please call the office at 642-2875 if you would like this option added to your account.Snack Punch Cards: Healthy snacks are available for purchase through our online store to participants in the ASP. Punch cards are $15 and good for 20 snacks ($0.75 per snack). Cards will be held at program location for your convenience. All participants are given a choice of two items per snack. We are excited to get kids active and playing each day so you can return to work with peace of mind. Your kids will be in capable and caring hands. Each full day will have designated time and space for virtual learning and supervision. A parent handbook has been prepared for your convenience. It informs you of our policies and procedures as well as to provide valuable information to help you to navigate the many details involved with this program. These are unprecedented times and we’re doing our best to adapt to new procedures while collaborating with school administrators and staff to keep kids safe, happy and healthy. Your child will remain registered and you will be billed monthly (this is a change from our past billing practices).  Once registered, we will create a monthly bill for you which can be viewed and paid online. You will receive a reminder in the middle of the previous month that your invoice is ready and available to pay online. Join Standish Recreation during February and April school vacation weeks for lots of fun and games, both inside and out! Your child will stay busy with field trips (around town), scheduled activities, and themed adventures! Field trips often include sledding and skating, and local parks (weather permitting). Whether interested in sports, crafts, or just chillin' with friends, your child will have lots of fun at Vacation Camp!Scheduled activities are between 9am-4pm daily. Supervised, unstructured play between 7:30-9am and 4-5:30pm. Please bring a lunch and healthy snacks, a water bottle and come dressed for winter outdoor play. Please feel free to bring your own sleds, skates and helmets.  We have plenty of activities to keep your child busy, and ask that you leave electronics and other toys at home! 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM    Vacation Camps - February Vacation Camp
Join Standish Recreation during February and April school vacation weeks for lots of fun and games, both inside and out! Your child will stay busy with field trips (around town), scheduled activities, and themed adventures! Field trips often include sledding and skating, and local parks (weather permitting). Whether interested in sports, crafts, or just chillin' with friends, your child will have lots of fun at Vacation Camp!Scheduled activities are between 9am-4pm daily. Supervised, unstructured play between 7:30-9am and 4-5:30pm. Please bring a lunch and healthy snacks, a water bottle and come dressed for winter outdoor play. Please feel free to bring your own sleds, skates and helmets.  We have plenty of activities to keep your child busy, and ask that you leave electronics and other toys at home! If your child has special needs, allergies, requires special accommodations, or may need medicine administered during program hours, please fill out a Child Concern Form or our Permission to Administer Medication Form.
