Join us for a visit to the Currier Museum of Art in Manchester, New Hampshire, and tour the only Frank Lloyd Wright buildings open to the public in New England! 
The Kalil House and the Zimmerman houses are historic structures with original floor plans and much of the original furniture.
They were built in the 1950s when Wright’s domestic architecture reshaped American home design. The designs made use of natural light, local materials, flat roofs, and radiant floor heating. 
Over the course of his 70-year career, Wright became one of the most prolific, unorthodox and controversial masters of 20th-century architecture, creating no less than twelve of the Architectural Record’s hundred most important buildings of the century. 

When we arrive, we will spend time in the museum which features European and American paintings, decorative arts, photos, and sculptures. We can grab a bite to eat at the museum cafe ( on your own) before our tour of the houses leaves at 2:30 pm. The tour visits begin with a brief introduction, followed by self-guided exploration inside, with docents present to answer any questions. We will make a quick stop at the Kennebunk Service plaza on our way home (on your own). 

Although there are accessible spaces in both houses, there are also narrow hallways and doorways, some stairs, and uneven terrain.
