Are you ready to get some fresh air for a good cause? Always wanted to do a "couch to 5K"?
Well now is your chance! 
Join us on the weekend of June 13th-14th, 2020 for our first virtual 5K!
All proceeds will go towards future community events!

How does it work?
Sign up and commit to running or walking 3.1 miles on either day of the race weekend. Once you have finished your race, just post a picture of your route or stats from your smart phone, fitbit or smart watch to the Standish Recreation Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/StandishRecME/ along with a photo of yourself at your finish line. Don't use Facebook? That's ok, you can email your photos to rprescott@standish.org. This race is self-paced and can be done on your schedule. Choose your own route, path or even your treadmill (although outside is more fun!)

Prize categories:
1.Best Race Costume/Outfit: be creative, don't be shy! The winner of this category will receive a 3 month membership to Better Fit Fitness (over $80 value!)
2. Best Finish Photos: take a fun photo at the end of your race! The top two winners of this category will receive a $50 gift card to Hannaford
3. Cutest Canine Race Partner: Make sure your canine partner is in your photo! Winner of this category will receive a $50 gift card to Lavish Day Spa in Standish.
4. Oldest Participant: This race is for young and old alike! The winner of this category will receive a gift certificate to Percy's Table
5. Youngest Participant: The winner of this category will receive a gift card to Aroma Joe's. Kids love donuts and hot chocolate!

Registration Deadline: Wednesday, June 11th. You will receive a confirmation email with a printable Standish Parks & Recreation running bib. 
Submission Deadline: All end of race photos and stats should be sent by June 14th at 8:00 pm. Winners will be notified on the following Monday.
Cost:$5 per person. All proceeds benefit Standish Parks & Recreation Community Events.
