After School Dance Club will foster positive self-esteem through teamwork, encouragement, and positive affirmation coloring pages. At Dance Club we will warm up our bodies, strengthen, stretch and get ready for basic jazz/hip-hop dance steps. In the 8 weeks a short dance routine will be taught and practiced and will be performed on the last day. Family and friends are invited to come to the informal recital! Dancers will also have the opportunity to design and make their own costume for the show!
Rhonda Davis-Cook has been a dance educator in Southern Maine for over 30 years and is certified to teach by Dance Masters of America. She has taught dance to students ages 1-80 at local dance studios, recreation centers, preschools and public schools. She currently offers Happy Hearts Creative Movement dance classes to preschool age children in Southern Maine and is also on staff at Drouin Dance Center in Westbrook.
Transportation will be provided back to George E. Jack for those who are enrolled in the After School Program.
